I want advice that suits my budget and the Canadian market.” In the second field, explain how you want answers written. Try: “Use simple language and short sentences. Avoid generic advice. Give specific examples and clear next steps. Ask questions if important details are missing.” You can change these instructions whenever your needs change. 

Next, explore Settings → Personalization → Memory. If memory is available and enabled, ChatGPT can use relevant details from past conversations to personalize future responses. For example, if you regularly ask for help with social media content, it may remember your preferred tone and formatting. If you are developing a business, it may use relevant information about your audience or goals instead of treating every conversation as a completely new project. You can ask ChatGPT what it remembers about you and review the available memory controls. Keep in mind that memory does not retain every detail, so important requirements should still go in your custom instructions or the instructions for a specific project.
